The Department of Commerce, Chandigarh Business School of Administration came into existence in 2014 and has been touching heights since then. The department intends to provide a professional foundation to students who want their career in Business, Commerce, Accounting, Economics, etc. It endeavors to prepare individuals who equipped with knowledge and skills related to Economics and Business Management providing a variety of managerial skills to aspiring students.
`For the same purpose, the department concentrates its efforts not only on theoretical studies but also on the practical relevance of the subject in the real corporate world. The department conducts industrial visits, guest lectures, seminars, and various workshops to help students to assimilate the complex subjects and topics.
The department provides two courses affiliated to IKGPTU, Jalandhar:
- B.Com. Honors (Under Graduate Level Course)
- M.Com. (Post Graduate Level Course)
We offer B.Com course with diverse specialization in fields like Accounting, Finance, Banking and Insurance. Students demonstrate a strong drive to pursue all-round excellence in addition to having good communication and leadership skills. Our aim is to prepare our students to select their professional career from several options
Masters of Commerce course is being provided to commerce graduate to excel in the fields of banking, insurance, finance and accounting and teaching and research activities. Apart from the departmental efforts, the college also left no stone turned in providing opportunities and platforms in the form of Placements and extracurricular activities where students can showcase their talent and skills.
The students are trained and equipped from the very beginning of the course in such a way that they become highly competent professionals in the future.
