Department of Computer Applications
1. MCA
2. B.Sc. Cyber Security
3. B.Sc.Data Analytics
4. B.Sc. Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
The Department of Computer Applications (DCA) was formally set up in 2001. DCA is responsible for Post-graduate, and undergraduate courses in Computer Applications.
The undergraduate program comprises the BSc (Bachelor of Science) in Cyber Security, Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
These courses deal at an advanced level of computer application study. The course primarily focuses on imparting knowledge about different aspects of computer applications and related fields.
MCA curriculum is inclined more towards Application Development and thus it has more emphasis on the latest programming languages and tools. MCA course includes various aspects of computational theory, programming, algorithm design and optimization, network and database management, mobile technologies, electronics, mathematics, probability, statistics.
DCA offers a foundation that permits students to adapt to new technologies and new ideas in ICT technologies. The work of computer applications falls into three categories:
- Designing and building software and/or websites.
- Developing effective ways to solve computing problems.
- Devising new and better ways of using computers and addressing particular challenges in areas such as artificial intelligence. Most computer applications programs require some mathematical background.
Under academic autonomy, study schemes of the offered programs updated regularly focusing outcome-based education, to make students employable as per national and international requirements. Graduates of the department are serving around the globe in eminent companies, academia, and in the public sector. They are bringing laurel to the department by excelling in the fields of their work. Every year a good number of students get placements in reputed IT companies with good salary packages and also are clearing different competitive exams.
