E-Goverance Centre
CGC, Landran is the first institute which can rightfully claim of having made a significant contribution to the development of the State by setting up the first centre for E-governance as a joint venture with Punjab government. The prime aim of E-governance is to provide an efficient and transparent administration, making the government machinery far more useful for the public. The teachers and students have joined hands for the computerization of various departments of the state.
It is thus a golden chapter in the history of CGC to be a part of the wide-ranging development programme of the State government. Inaugurating this prestigious project, Dr Pramod Kumar, Chairman, Punjab Governance Reforms Commission, highly appreciated the initiative taken by CGC, Landran and emphasized that this two-edged programme will bring effective change. As the first step in this direction, the project on computerization of jails has already been executed in partnership with Punjab Infotech.
