Entrepreneurship Development Cell
The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) serves as a dynamic hub within educational institutions and organizations, dedicated to nurturing entrepreneurial talent, fostering innovation, and driving economic growth. It provides a platform for aspiring entrepreneurs to transform their ideas into viable business ventures, offering a range of resources, support, and guidance throughout the entrepreneurial journey. In CBSA, cell (EDC) was started in July, 2018 with the objective of promoting specialized knowledge in the field of entrepreneurship development with a motive of encouraging entrepreneurship among management students.
In line of vision and mission of CBSA, the objectives of Entrepreneurship Development Cell are:
- To identify the skills of students aspiring to become entrepreneurs.
- To organize assistance and establishing support systems and procedures.
- To leverage the synergies of various departments to develop entrepreneurs.
- To provide guidance and support for potential and aspiring entrepreneurs.
Functions of Entrepreneurship Development Cell
- To inculcate a culture of innovation driven entrepreneurship through student projects.
- To organize Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps, Entrepreneurship Development Programmes, Faculty Development Programmes and Skill Development Programmes in the Institution.
- To arrange interaction with entrepreneurs and create a mentorship scheme for student entrepreneurs.
- To disseminate knowledge and insights in entrepreneurial theory and practice through lectures, activities and workshops. Build knowledge and skills to translate ideas into opportunities while they are on campus.
- To motivate students to start their own companies after graduation or after a few years of gaining industry experience. To inspire students to consider entrepreneurship as a possible career option.
- To facilitate startups to incubate at central incubation facility at RISE.
