Summary report of the event highlights: Department of Commerce, CBSA organized 2 days Workshop on IPR and Innovation on 3rd& 4th May, 2023. On Day 1 a competition was organized titled “Inventions beyond Limitations” in which the students were given certain existing products like chair, ceiling fan, bicycle etc. in which they added a unique feature and presented their ideas on stage. Students from B.com and M.com participated in the competition with full excitement and enthusiasm. On Day 2 a session was conducted on IPR in which the speaker shared valuable insights regarding patents, trademarks, copyright etc. along with the detailed process of patent filing. Students were encouraged to share their novel ideas. The event was concluded with felicitation of the winners of competition held on Day 1 with the certificates.

Learning Outcomes: The session motivated the students to develop and apply creative and innovative thinking skills to solve problems, generate new ideas and develop unique solutions along with the detailed process of patent filing.

PO2:(B.Com, Hons.):Increases the capacity for decision-making at the personal and professional levels while developing Creative & Innovative skills Statistical skills, communication skills and confidence to meet the demands of the corporate world and entrepreneurship.
PO2: (M. Com): To train the student to develop conceptual, applied and research skills as well as competencies required for effective problem solving and right decision making in routine and special activities relevant to financial management and Banking Transactions of a business.
