Expert Details: The guest speaker of this event Mr. Omkar Ganu has received Ashoka Young Change maker Award for creating a positive change in the communities. He is a Changemaker at heart and Environmental Engineer by training and also co-founded a youth-led initiative to address waste management and improve environmental education. Currently he is working with Karo Sambhav Pvt. Ltd.
Brief details of the event highlights: MBA Department, CBSA organized an online expert session on 28th February 2022. This expert session was conducted under the expert lecture series named ‘Varta’ on “Process Innovation Development and Technology Readiness: E- Waste Management” to commemorate the Sustainable Development Goals Action and Awareness Week 2022. We were extremely proud to share that this event was also co-organized by the University Global Coalition and the United Nations.
The main objective of our event was to sensitize students about the necessity of E-waste management in controlling global warming and avoiding its worst effects on climate change. We learned how E-Waste management contributes to the development of sustainable cities and communities. In all, our event has addressed 10 of the 17 SDGs.
Response of the audience: MBA and BBA students in the audience expressed a strong interest in such activities to learn more about the E-waste recycling process and our responsibilities in this regard.

PSO: The event will also address the legislation and regulations governing E waste management. The goal of this session is to raise public awareness of the different causes and alternatives to manage our E-Waste as business are bulk users of electronic devices.
