The MBA Department of Chandigarh Business School of Administration (CBSA), CGC Landran, Mohali organized Budgetcon’26 – “Policy to Pocket”, a two-day academic event on 16–17 February 2026 aimed at enhancing students’ understanding of the Union Budget 2026 and its economic implications. Day 1 featured a Budget Analysis Presentation Competition, where 14 student teams from B.Com, BBA, and MBA programs presented sector-wise analyses of the budget across key areas such as healthcare, defence, MSMEs, tourism, and manufacturing. The activity strengthened students’ analytical abilities and understanding of fiscal policy. Day 2 of the conclave featured an engaging panel discussion with distinguished industry experts, strengthening the academia–industry interface. The panelists included Mr. Hitesh Dewan (Zonal Head, Fino Payments Bank), Mr. Keshav Khullar (Business Research Analyst, Finvasia Securities Pvt. Ltd.), Mr. Arpit Garg (Managing Director, Chester Hills Group), Mr. Harpal Singh (Chairman, Institute of Professional Banking), and Mr. Vikramjit Singh Sandhu (Senior Producer and Anchor, Daily Post). The session was moderated by Dr. Sonam Sharma, Assistant Professor, MBA Department, CBSA Landran focusing on India’s fiscal outlook, MSME growth, sectoral opportunities, and the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. The event served as a meaningful platform for enhancing economic awareness, analytical thinking, and policy understanding among students.
