1.Brief details of the event: MBA Department, CBSA, under the aegis of IIC has organized an online competition “Competition for Innovation through Trash” on 23rd October, 2021 to enhance the creative and innovative mindset among the 1st semester students. The competition was themed to utilize the trash and waste materials to innovate useable items which are useful as well as decorative to augment the surroundings of household. The focus was on the usage of waste materials and not any new bought material. It is also considered that final product should have some value and utility. The competition was judged by Dr. Tanuj Sharma and Dr. Sonika, Assistant Professors, MBA Dept. In total 34 students had participated. On the basis of material used and utility of the final product 12 students have been shortlisted. These 12 students further gave their presentations explaining regarding their innovative item. 2. Learning for the students: Students participated very enthusiastically. They used their creativity and management skills. They came out with very creative and useful products. The learned to reuse the waste material which contributes to save the environment.
