Industrial visit to well esteem newspaper press The Tribune, Chandigarh was organized by
CBSA, Department of Commerce. 45 students of B.COM (Hons) and M.COM on March 10,
2025 were part of this visit. Objective of the visit were to understand the end-to-end process of
newspaper production, including content generation, editing, printing, and distribution. The visit
provided an insightful experience into the printing and publication industry, enriching
participants with practical knowledge of the operations and technological advancements used in
modern-day newspaper production. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the staff and
escorted to the manufacturing room, the nerve centre of the organization. Mr. Aman Gulati and
Mr. Karamvir, briefed the students about the process. They were given various insights about the
printing process and they were shown the working also to give them exposure about the real life
working. Students applauded the infrastructure along with the processing unit, which
enlightened them about the factory process and latest trends and techniques. The industrial visit
to The Tribune was a valuable learning experience that provided students with a comprehensive
understanding of the inner workings of organization. This visit has enriched our knowledge and
appreciation and will undoubtedly serve as a guiding light in our academic and professional
pursuits.
