Expert Session on Entrepreneurial Development Workshop conducted

Expert Detail: Mr. Parampreet Singh Kalra is a young entrepreneur, enthusiastic, intellectual and an aspiring social influencer. He is a founder of Starthub Nation, a co-working space company having 4 centres in Chandigarh region. He has a key role in developing the startup ecosystem in the region and as a startup enthusiast has helped to enlighten entrepreneurship among college students. In addition to this, Parampreet is an inspirational speaker and founder of Satnam Infosys, a software consulting company. Satnam Infosys, now has its branches spread in USA and Canada. He is also a Curator of Global Shapers Chandigarh. He is also the manager of the Google Business Group.

Brief details of the event: The Chandigarh Business School of Administration conducted an online workshop on entrepreneurial development on 15th December 2020. The speaker of the workshop was Mr. Parampreet Singh Kalra. Mr. Kalra, explained the significant role of vision and mission in the start of the company. He imparted the importance of SWOT analysis, required to start any business. In the business plan, the value of starting the business at the right time is also explained.

Response of the audience: Students asked the questions about various schemes started by the government of India and the government of Punjab, to promote the startup in young students and the public. The students asked many questions. Students also feel delighted after attending the event.

Learning Outcomes: Mr. Kalra provided valuable insights to the students of BBA, BCA and MBA, about how to start their own startup and make a business plan for the company. In his lecture, he lights on the different domains of startups and the role of all domains in the development of entrepreneurial skills. He further explained that, if we have an idea, then we have to start it at the right time, at the right place and for the right audience. He also briefed the importance of making a strategy to keep the business to the next level. The role of team members was also explained for forming a company. Which documents are required to form a partnership firm, proprietorship, limited liability partnership firm, and public and private firm etc.
