Brief details of the Expert: Department of Commerce, CBSA organized an online Guiding Session on “Legal Basics for Start-up in India” on 24th November 2021. This event was organised for 2nd year students B.Com. & M. Com. The lecture was delivered by Mr. Hritik Mehta. Mr Mehta is a qualified young Company Secretary as well as Law Graduate. At present, he is working with MNK & Associates LLP, Company Secretaries, and New Delhi. He handles the assignments of Secretarial work, legal work and in the field of Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code.
Brief details of the event highlights: The guest speaker enlightened our students with extensive knowledge of various legitimate requirements to be observed while launching new start-ups. He discussed about various statutory compliances to be followed to own and run a successful business. Speaker also highlighted the various consequences of not complying with the statutory requirements on entrepreneur and start up.
Response of the Audience: The students of commerce department participated with full zeal and enthusiasm in the session. Student’s keen interest in legal requirements and their consequences made the session very interactive.

Learning Outcomes: This guiding session helped students to understand various legal aspects of entrepreneurship in a very interesting way. The session acquainted them with the various real time problems faced by entrepreneur and their possible legal solutions, kind of documentation required, and types of rebates and subsidies available while starting a new business.
