Industrial visit to well Esteem Company ”JSW Vallabh Pvt Ltd”, Rajpura was organized by CBSA, Department of Commerce for the students of B.Com (3 rd Semester) on 14 th October, 2024. Vallabh Group equipped with sheer drive for achieving perfection in every sphere, has been moving from strength to strength since its inception in 1981 by its Founder Chairman Mr. Kapil Jain, presently being supported by a core team of knowledge enriched professionals across all levels. The group is producing approximately 200,000 MT of high value steel products annually, marketed under the brand OSWAL which is synonymous with quality and recognition all over, comprising of products like Steel Ingots, Hot Rolled Strips, Cold Rolled Coil, Galvanized & Black ERW pipes, Galvanized Plain Sheets, Galvanized Corrugated Sheets, Color Coated Sheets & Precision Tubes, which are also being exported to various countries around the world. Senior Officials; Production Manager Mr. RN Mohan Rao, Plant Head Mr. Vikas Jain, Quality Head Mr. Anand Kumar Mishra and Mr. Abhinav (ME), Mr. Anil Kapoor (ME) met the students and the faculty members Ms. Rajni Kaur and Ms. Amrita, before proceeding inside the industry. At the JSW industry, two engineers of the company guided the students to various sections of the industries and maintenance bays as well and explained how raw materials are received, stored and then how loaded in various machines to get desired stage wise output. They also provided insights regarding the different stages of production of tinplates, brief description about its branches, revenue generation and monitoring, layout of the plant, number of employees, benefits provided by the organization to the employees, CSR activities, performance appraisal system, conflict resolution procedure, and safety measures for the work, etc.
Student Feedback:
The students enjoyed the tour endeavor at JSW, Rajpura. This Visit seems to be very informative and gives good learning experience. Students were well mannered and disciplined throughout the visit. There the students checked out the procedures, processes, work environment, management efforts taking place in the industry. The students understood the things practically through interaction with the industrial environment, working methods, and employment practices. Students availed the exposure about the practical working environment of an industry, which encourages innovative thinking and problem-solving in their minds. The visit also provided the students a good opportunity to achieve full awareness about industrial practices and working.
