Department of Commerce, CBSA organized an expert session on “IP Awareness and Patent Filing Workshop” as a part of the series of IIC activities on 3rd February, 2026. In this session the speaker Ms. Seema (Sr. Patent Associate) and registered patent agent in India, shared her valuable insights related to Intellectual Property (IP) and the patent filing process. The event covered essential topics such as the different types of IP, patent criteria, the steps involved in filing patents, and strategies for managing and commercializing IP. Participants gained valuable insights from expert speakers, who shared practical advice and real-world case studies. It was an interactive session as students were encouraged to share their ideas. A total number of 90 students from B.com participated in the session. Overall the session was engaging and informative. The session was concluded with felicitation of the guest and thankful note was delivered by Dr Seema Saini, HOD of commerce department.
