Brief details of the event highlights: Department of Commerce organized an Online Orientation and Induction Program to welcome new batch of B.Com & M.Com students. The program was designed for one week starting from 9th to 13th September, 2021. The aim of this one week induction program was to facilitate new student to get familiar and adjust with new environment and also inculcate various ethics and culture of the institution. The induction was designed in such a way that it could help students to build bond with other students and faculty members.
Through this program students learnt about various institutional policies, processes, practices, culture and values. Number of online sessions were conducted during this whole week catering to different needs of the students.
Induction Program covered different Aspects:
Familiarization with department-Students were introduced to the department, its working, its procedures and faculty members. Mentoring Sessions- This session was conducted to introduce students to their respective Class counsellors and complete the registration process Session on How Virtual classes are conducted- Session focussed on informing students about LMS Platform used by college for virtual classes. Session on Placement Policies and Procedures- This session was conducted to make students aware about placement policies and training session for that purpose.
Motivational sessions on “Power of Mind” were conducted to motivate them to achieve their career goals. Ms Tushar Goel-Performance Coach Founder of English Street and Ms. Neha – French Language Trainer and Founder of French Hubb Institute motivated our new students live example and stories to achieve their objectives.
Industry Interactions were done to make them understand what industries are expecting from students- Mr.Rajinder singh, Director Rado Company was the expert speaker for the session who gave immense knowledge to students on the demands of industry from students. Personality Development & communication skills sessions were also organised.
Talent hunt activity- Induction program was ended with enthusiastic energetic & competitive where freshers were given a platform to showcase their talents and build confidence. Various Activities were there in the competition like singing , dancing, logo designing.
Response of the audience/ learning for the students : All the freshers students participated in the session enthusiastically and took keen interest in all the sessions.
