Summary Report of the event: MBA Department, CBSA organized a 5 days Power BI Value added course from 18th -22nd September 2023 in association with Make Intern and E-Cell (IIM Calcutta) on Business Analytics. The major goal of the training was to build the business analysis skills of the students. The students got hands on learning experience about the Business Analytics tool Power BI along with advanced excel.

Learning Outcomes: The training session helped students learn that today, businesses are moving forward in fast paced environment. Newer technological solutions are offering more effective solutions for organizations than ever before. The analytics field has evolved from just displaying the facts and figures into more collaborative business intelligence that predicts outcome and assists in decision making for the future. The students got hands on learning experience of the Business Analytics tool – POWERBI. The students also learnt the theoretical and practical concepts of analytics such as how to connect, transform and visualize data using wider range of visualization like graphs, pie charts, maps and cards and many more. They even learnt how to easily connect data sources and create datasets by importing data from one or more sources and how to develop relationship between data by merging and creating tables. At the last day of the training the students were given a chance to present their learning’s.
