The Department of Commerce organized an enriching and thought-provoking session on the topic “Research Paper Writing and Journal Publication Support Workshop” on Monday, 2nd March 2026. The session aimed at enhancing the research capabilities of faculty members and aspiring scholars by providing practical guidance on academic writing and publication strategies. The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Assistant Professor at the Centre for Management & Humanities, Punjab Engineering College. During his session, Dr. Kumar elaborated on the essential components of high-quality research, including identification of a meaningful research problem, systematic review of literature, appropriate selection of research methodology, structuring of research papers, and adherence to ethical standards with special emphasis on plagiarism prevention. The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation, with attendees actively interacting with the speaker and raising queries related to journal selection, impact factors, indexing databases, and ethical publication practices. The practical illustrations and real-life research experiences shared by Dr. Kumar made the session highly engaging, insightful, and motivating for the participants. The event concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks proposed by Dr. Seema Rani, Head of the Department of Commerce, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the resource person for his valuable guidance and inspiring interaction. On this occasion, Dr. Ramandeep Saini, Director Principal, CBSA, presented a token of appreciation to the keynote speaker as a gesture of recognition and respect.
