
Chandigarh Business School of Administration, Landran, organized an insightful Session on Patent Ideas and Start-Up on 24th September 2025. The event witnessed the participation of enthusiastic students and budding innovators keen on exploring the domain of patents and entrepreneurship. The session began with a formal welcome address, followed by the introduction of the distinguished speakers, Dr. Amresh, CEO, ACIC RISE, CGC Landran, and Dr. Dinesh Arora, Professor and Head, IPR, CGC Landran. Dr. Amresh shared his expertise on how aspiring entrepreneurs can take their first steps towards establishing a start-up and the systematic process of getting a start-up registered. On the other hand, Dr. Dinesh Arora focused his talk on the patent filing process, beginning with the significance of invention disclosure. He gave detailed insights into filling out the Invention Disclosure Form (IDF), a crucial document that initiates the patenting procedure. He also clarified the procedural aspects, including prior art search, drafting and filing, thereby enabling students to understand the practical dimensions of intellectual property rights. Both speakers emphasized the critical role of innovation and intellectual property in strengthening entrepreneurial ventures. Overall, the event proved to be an enriching experience for all participants, leaving them inspired and well-informed about patents and start-ups.
