Department of Commerce, CBSA organized an insightful session on role of IPR in start-up on 10th September 2026. The session was conducted to create awareness among students about the importance of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) in fostering innovation and protecting entrepreneurial ideas. The resource person for the session was Ms. Jyotpreet Kaur, Senior Manager, Hits Bulls eye, who shared valuable insights into the significance of IPR for start-ups and emerging businesses. She explained how intellectual property protection can help entrepreneurs safeguard their innovative ideas, products, brands, and creative work while creating a competitive advantage in the market. Students were encouraged to recognize the value of their innovations and take appropriate steps to protect their intellectual assets while building successful start-ups.
Overall, the session proved to be an informative and enriching experience, helping students understand the role of IPR in entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainable business growth. The speaker was felicitated by Director Principal, Dr. Ramandeep Saini and Dr. Seema Saini, HOD, Department of Commerce, as a token of respect and appreciation. Students also Participated in MIC- Driven activity titled MeitY start up hub: Empowering innovation in HEIs.
