Department of Commerce, Chandigarh Business School of Administration organized a
Workshop on āSmart Tax Innovate: Advancing Computerized Accounting in the GST
Ageā. The workshop was conducted with the objective to familiarize the students with the
implementation of advanced computerized accounting system in the GST Era. The resource
person for the session was Gaurav Kaushal, Senior Regional Manager at Tally Education Pvt
Ltd.The speaker elucidated advanced computerized accounting skills for GST compliance and
gave knowledge of smart tax innovations in computerized accounting systems, smart tax
innovations, and GST compliance. A total number of 90 students from B.COM (Hons.)
participated in the session. The workshop received overwhelmingly positive feedback, and
participants learned the best practices for implementing advanced accounting system and also
improved understanding of the key concepts. The session was concluded with felicitation of
guest and vote of thanks by Dr. Seema Saini, HOD Department of Commerce.
