
Chandigarh Business School of Administration successfully concluded a one-week Faculty Development Programme on Contemporary Trends in Business and Management: Tools & Techniques with great enthusiasm. The FDP was full of learning and takeaways that are useful for research and professional development. It was specially conducted for CBSA faculty members and included diverse topics such as Understanding Ethics in Academics by Dr. Praveen Kumar, Case Study Writing by Dr. Karminder Ghuman, Advanced Excel for Data Management and Analysis by Ms. Simran, AI for Smarter Academia, Emerging Industrial Trends in Marketing by Mr. Jiveshdeep Singh, and Emerging Industrial Trends in HR and Finance by Mr. Subhash Saini. The Valedictory Ceremony was led by Dr. Ramandeep Saini (Director Principal, CBSA) and Dr. Seema Saini (HOD, Commerce), encapsulating the collective learning and reflections. The CBSA faculty found the sessions by different speakers very insightful. Sessions on research, case study writing, and AI were especially appreciated by the faculty members. The programme helped develop a strong understanding of academic ethics, the types and consequences of plagiarism, and strategies to safeguard scholarly work—promoting a culture of integrity in teaching and research. Participants also gained insights into the end-to-end research process, including problem identification, literature review frameworks, gap analysis, hypothesis formulation, scaling techniques, and publication avenues—equipping them to pursue impactful academic research.
