
Orientation Program for the new batch of BBA students was conducted on 23rd Aug 2022 followed by Induction program from 24th Aug to 2ndSept 2022. The orientation ceremony took place on 23rd Aug, 2022 addressed by Dr Ramandeep Saini, Director-Principal CBSA. Dr Saini took a session where the focus was to introduce the department to the students. The session also included the role of class councellors to students was explained. The students were also made aware about anti ragging committees, student welfare departments etc. It was followed by lunch organized by the college and a campus tour (with respective CC's) where students were taken for a tour within college premises and were informed about different blocks, fee counters, canteen and other important buildings.
Highlights of the Induction Program:
Day -1 (23 August 2022) The induction program began with registration process of students by their respective class councellors. The main objective to conduct 9-days long Induction Program was to facilitate new students adjust and feel comfortable in the new environment, inculcate in them the values and culture of the institution and also break the ice between the students and teachers. It also helped the students to build bonds with fellow students and faculty members and also project out their hidden talents in front of everyone.
Day -2 (24 August 2022) The second day of Induction started with a session with HOD, Dr Tanuj where students were informed about how the BBA department functions, what hierarchy is followed and where the students can report to in case of any academic or non academic query. Highlights about the conduct of classes were given, floor wise information about classrooms was also shared, and faculties taking care of some important portfolios were highlighted. Next session was taken in classes and information about DHC, its role, duties and how students can take help from them was explained. Post lunch, session on importance of communication skills was given by teachers to the students. Students were explained why it is important to communicate formally, ethically and intelligently in front of people and how it will help them excel in their life.
Day -3 (25 August 2022) The very first session of day 3 started with a bridge course in classes taken by different teachers in the department. Students were given knowledge about human values and their importance in today's world. This was followed by a session on TPP (training and placement program). Different trainers were invited for TPP sessions. Mr Tarun, Ms Bunny, Mr Jitanshu, Ms Pallak, Mr Pradeep and Mr Divjyot were part of it. Later, in the next sessions students were made aware about harsh side of ragging, by showing them an anti ragging documentary. This helped students understand the darker side of it and how it can ruin ones career. In late afternoon, teachers tried to involve students in different management games involving newspapers and different raw materials. Winners to management games were declared:

Day -4 (26 August 2022) The first three sessions of day 4 started with a bridge course in classes taken by different teachers in the department. Students were given knowledge about different subjects including principles and practices of management, human values, English, managerial economics, basic accounting etc. Post lunch, a motivational lecture was arranged for the students. Our Alumni were invited to give lectures to our students.

Day -5 (29 August 2022) The first session of the fifth day of induction program was a session on Art of Living and a session by Director Academics (DA) in the auditorium. The session on Art of Living was an interactive one where students learned the importance of meditation and calmness of mind. Post lunch, the department organized a 'Talent Hunt I' for BBA students, where they were given a chance to project talent in front of the entire class. Activities like singing, dancing, acting, modeling etc were performed by the students. Judgments were given by the allotted teachers and winners were declared:

The students were really engaged with the entire session and enjoyed participating in talent hunt event. It helped them break the ice and get to know each other in a much better way.
Day -6 (30 August 2022) Day six of induction was totally dedicated towards bridge course classes, where students were given knowledge in their classes by the teachers in the department. Session on economic crises was taken up by teachers and discussion on how the country recovered post COVID was made. All the students were totally dedicated towards the session and participated fully. In the next session, students were given information on how to manage stress in the present world and how to manage their studies effectively. Not only this, teachers took sessions on time management as well. Students were made aware about what exactly time management is and how to complete more tasks in less time in the most effective manner. Post lunch they were given a lecture on professional development by teachers in the department, followed by "Ad Mad Show/ Extempore" . Day -7 (31 August 2022) The day of induction began with a session on career prospects by teachers in the department. Teachers informed the students multiple career prospects which are available for the students after they complete their BBA course. All the doubts of students were also cleared by teachers, also full involvement of students was seen throughout. This was followed by session in auditorium by Director Academics (DA). The importance of timely submissions of assignments, appearing for exams was shared with the students. Post lunch, the day was closed by conducting bridge courses in respective classes by teachers and discussion on different subjects such as management principles, basic accounting, managerial economics was done.
Day- 8 (1st September 2022) The entire day was fully dedicated towards organizing a trip for the students. Departmental teachers took the students to Elante Mall for a trip so that the students get to know Chandigarh in a much better way. Students were taken to the mall for full day in busses and were given time to enjoy within the mall. Later in the evening, the students were brought back to college (in college busses) and thereby the day was closed.
Day- 9 (2nd September 2022) The first three sessions for the day were given to bridge courses, where teachers discussed with their students different subjects including human values, management games, managerial economics, English etc. This was followed by a 'Talent Hunt II' for BBS students, where they were given a chance to project out their talent in front of entire class. This was followed with the prize distribution ceremony, where the students who backed up different positions in different events were awarded gifts by HOD sir, Dr Tanuj, Ms Priyanka and Ms Kirti, so as to boost up their confidence. The induction was closed with a light mood and the students were shown a motivational movie in the auditorium.
Response of the audience/ learning for the students-BBA students raise awareness with their creativity.They actively participated in the event. Students shared their feedback that, they were highly motivated and brought in very engaging and transforming ideas .They were willing to participate in the similar kind of events in future as well where the can create more awareness about other issues of society.

Overview of Participation: Students participated in the event with enthusiasm. The activities were varied in different aspects and overall were pure in terms of originality showing the inventiveness and imagination, of the students of our college and their desire to shape the future in their own way.
